John T. Lancaster

            Mr. John Thomas Lancaster, age 83, husband of Judy Eubanks Henderson Lancaster of Union, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 4, 2023.

            Mr. Lancaster was born in Union, December 15, 1939, a son of the late Barth and Maud Jolly Lancaster. He was retired from Torrington Co. and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church where he had served as an usher and was a member of the Doug Johnson Sunday School Class. Mr. Lancaster was first married to the late Jackie Fuller Lancaster.

            Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Ricky Lancaster of Buffalo; step-daughter, Angie Bright and husband Kenneth of Union; four sisters, Hazel Howell, Louise Sanders, Faye Cuthbertson and husband David, and Rachel Sumner and husband James all of Union; a brother, Lewis Lancaster and wife Linda of Buffalo and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Lancaster of Buffalo. He is also survived by step-grandchildren, Ashley Anthony and husband Brett and Jordan Nichols and husband Matt and great-grandchildren, Colton and Maddox Anthony, and Jackson and Bennett Nichols. He was predeceased by a brother, Mac Lancaster.

            A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Doug Estes. Burial will follow at West Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

            Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

            Active pallbearers will be Kyle Cuthbertson, Scott Lancaster, Mark Brock, Ralph Thompson, Doug Johnson, and Bruce Betenbaugh. Members of the Doug Johnson Sunday School Class are asked to sit in a group.

            The family will be at their respective homes.
