Johnny Alexander Obituary

         Mr. Johnny W. Alexander, age 82, of 4018 Buffalo West Springs Hwy., Jonesville, a devoted husband, and father; passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Spartanburg Medical Regional Center.

            Johnny was born March 8, 1939, in Union, where he grew up. He was the son of Arthur Bailey and Onie Riddle Alexander.  Johnny graduated from Jonesville High School and was a longtime member of Putman Baptist Church. He loved his two fury friends and his grandkids.

            Surviving in addition to his wife of forty-eight years, Polly A. Alexander are two daughters, Joni Kelly and husband Bryan, and JoAnn Kirby and husband Dennis; three sons, Terry Alexander and wife Lori, Johnny Alexander, Jr. and Danny Jones and wife, Angie; two brothers, Roy Alexander and Betty Jean and Harold Dean Alexander and wife Diane. Grandchildren, Clay Alexander and wife Logan, Bradley Alexander, Tasha Dehart and husband, Devin, Kelli Belk and husband Charles, Tansy Ham and husband Shannon, Lacy Shropshire and husband Lee and Jada Jones; Great-grandkids, Gavin Ham and Kaylin Walker; and several nieces and nephews. Johnny was predeceased by two sisters, Doris Calvert and Ruby Plemmons and two brothers, Frank Alexander, and Junior Alexander

            Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Putman Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Tommy Mann and Rev. Shannon Ham. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Bradley Alexander, Clay Alexander, Devin Dehart, Gavin Ham, Lee Shropshire, Bill Lawson, and Bobby Boulware.         

            Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday prior to the services at the church.

            Memorials may be made to Putman Baptist Church, 3692 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy, Buffalo, SC 29321.

            The family will be at the home 4018 Buffalo West Springs Hwy., Jonesville, SC 29353.
