Joyce Lemaster Pierce

Mrs. Joyce LeMaster Pierce, age 80, of 291 Cambridge Dr., Union, wife of Gene Pierce passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022.

Mrs. Pierce was born in Union, July 3, 1942 a daughter of the late Roy LeMaster and Lillie Mae Sinclair LeMaster. She was a graduate of Union High School and University of South Carolina-Union. She was a retired real estate agent and was a member of Westside Baptist Church where she served as pianist and a Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Pierce served on the Union City Council and had served as Director of the Community Development Board.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Drea Edens and husband Greg of Easley; three grandchildren Joshua Edens, Daniel Edens and Hope Edens; a sister Rosa McDade Estes and husband J.W.; two brothers LeRoy LeMaster and wife Dianne and Harold LeMaster and wife Patti; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Hyder.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens.

The following nephews will serve as pallbearers, Tony McDade, Ben McDade, Greg McDade, Kevin McDade, Scott McDade and Don Hyder.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, August 12, 2022 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
