Obituary

            Mrs. Kay F. Stachler, age 80, wife of Sylvan “Pete” Stachler, of 779 Mt. Tabor Church Road, Union, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023.

            Mrs. Stachler was born July 10, 1942 in Chester, a daughter of the late Ed Gregory and Willard Gibson Gregory. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church, where she attended the Adult II Sunday School Class. Mrs. Stachler was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

            Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Sylvia Allen and husband Mike and Kim Bailey and husband Jeff all of Union; a son, Brian Stachler and wife, Gail of Louisville, KY;  six grandchildren, Lucas Allen (Phelicia), Catie Smith (Clayton), Aaron Bailey (Morgan), Ethan Bailey, Brandon Stachler and Josh Stachler; four great grandchildren and two nephews, Tommy McCollum and Greg McCollum.

            The family would like to say a special Thank You to Crescent Hospice and caregivers, Vicky Gregory and Tina Rash for all the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Stachler and her family.

            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Ben Hill and Rev. Drew Rogers. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 6:00 until 7:30PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

            Active pallbearers will be Jackie Parks, David Turner, Jr., Nick Turner, Jason Childers, Brent Greer and Monty Allen. Members of the Adult II Sunday School class are asked to sit in a group.

            The family is at the home; 779 Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Union, SC 29379.
