Kenneth Y. Henderson

            Mr. Kenneth Y. Henderson, age 82, of 1124 Browns Creek Church Rd, joined his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

            Mr. Henderson was born in Boiling Springs, August 29, 1940, a son of the late M.Y. Henderson and Nina Cohen Henderson. He was a graduate of Union High School. He was retired as the owner and operator of Ken Henderson Plumbing and Ideal Construction. Mr. Henderson was a former member of the SC National Guard.
            Mr. Henderson was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and loved singing for Jesus and his church. Mr. Henderson loved fishing, hunting, sports and most importantly his family and friend. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.
            Surviving are two sons, Kenneth D. Henderson and wife Betsy, and J. Kevin Henderson and wife Brook of Union; a sister, Faye Henderson Moss of Nashville, TN; and beloved grandchildren; Blair Gault and husband Josh of Jonesville; Kendell Henderson and fiancé Cal Arnold and Bodie Lane Henderson all of Union; two great grandchildren Charlie and Lila Gault.  And nieces and nephews. Mr. Henderson was predeceased by two brothers, Bob Henderson and Ronald A Henderson.
            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale and Rev. Ralph Brown. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday at the church prior to the services. Burial will be at Brown's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
            Pallbearers will be Curtis Plexico, Jamie Gallman, David Henderson, Josh Gault, Cal Arnold, and Lynn Fore. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Scott, Cecil Brown, Colin Duckett, Reece Odell, Mickey Gist.
            Memorials may be made to Covenant Baptist Church, 100 Medical Science Dr., Union, SC 29379.
            The family will be at their respective homes.
