Mr. Kevin Fredrick Garner, age 49, husband of Tracy Bobo Garner of 1612 Old Pump Station Rd, Union, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.

Mr. Garner was born in Union, December 20, 1971, a son of Carolyn Jo Jenkins of Union and Wayne Davis Garner and wife Peggy of Union. He was a graduate of Union High School and Spartanburg Technical College. Kevin owned and operated Garner’s Towing.  He was a member of Brown’s Creek Baptist Church.  Kevin loved Go-Cart and Dirt Track Racing.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two children, Noah Garner and fiancée Emily Bonham of Woodruff, and Kallee Garner of the home; a brother, Brian Scott Garner of Union; a step-sister, Stacey Hansel (Shannon) of Whitmire; and a number of nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Gregory Scott Garner and Michael Wayne Garner; a step-brother, Mickey Gibson; his paternal grandmother, Ferol Clark; and his in-laws, Thomas and Shirley Bobo.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Brown’s Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Shawn Head and Rev. Brad Goodale.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Freddie Crawford, Scott West, John Gunner, Bobby Hall, Lynn Fore, Ronald Davis, Daniel Gallman, and Russell Williford. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Wyatt, Jeff Stepp, Kenneth Byrd, Mark Coker, Bruce Wilson, Chad Barfield, Warren Pettit, Donald Howell, Earl Howell, Jeff Caudill, BJ McDowell, Jonathan Nix, Rod Knight, Ronnie Gregory, and Ralph Adams.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the following people for their love and care of Mr. Garner during his illness, Kathy Cole, RN and Deborah Metcalf, RN, Dr. Hallie Pobanz, Kim Hautamki, RN, Haley Stober, RN, Sierra Dawkins, CNA, Shelbi Moore, CNA, Stephanie Gonzalez, RN, and Cheri Freeman.
