Larry Charles Black

            Mr. Larry Charles Black, age 74 of 304 Spring St., Union, passed away at his home, Friday, November 17, 2023.

            Mr. Black was born in Union, October 14, 1949, a son of the late Noel and Ellie Birch Black. He retired from the maintenance department at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

            Surviving are two daughters, Linda Waldrop and husband Rick of Union, and Amber Dover and husband Chris of Gaffney; a son, Kenneth Black and former wife Tina Wilkie of Union; a sister, Virginia Southerland and husband Danny of Whitmire; a brother, Ricky Black and wife Kathy of Union; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Charles Black, a brother, James Wayne Black, and the love of his life Brenda Monroe.

            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Bill Randall. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.   

            Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

            The family will be at the home of his daughter, Linda and Rick Waldrop, 119 Taylor Rd. Union.
