Larry Eugene Cabaniss

            Mr. Larry Eugene Cabaniss, age 69, formerly of Cross St., Lockhart, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at Heartland of Union.

            Mr. Cabaniss was born in Williamston, SC, July 16, 1951, a son of the late Rev. William Henry Cabaniss and Daisy Lee Gregory Cabaniss. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Lockhart Church of God.

            Surviving are a daughter, Nikki C. Valentine and husband Jerry “PeeWee” of Sharon; a son, Stevie Cabaniss and wife Angela of Lockhart; four sister, Doris Gainey of Cheraw, Peggy Thomas of Gray Court, Alice Sanders and husband Mike and Elaine Gaston and husband Jack all of Lockhart; six grandchildren, Brandon Valentine, Sacoria Valentine-Yost, Sabrina Martin, Mackenzi Cabaniss, Garrett Cabaniss and Jaxon Cabaniss; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Cabaniss was predeceased by one sister, Mildred Black and six brothers, Jack Cabaniss, Ralph “Buddy” Cabaniss, Alvin Cabaniss, William “Flip” Cabaniss, Earl Cabaniss and Harold Cabaniss.

            Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 1, 2021 at Lockhart Cemetery conducted by Rev. Allen McKee.

            Active pallbearers will be Brian Gaston, Brandon Valentine, Dillon Sanders, Stan Eaves, Chris Edwards and Sammy Valentine.

            Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the services.

            The family will be at the home of his sister, Elaine and Jack Gaston, 293 Askew Circle, Union, SC 29379.
