Miss Laura Marian Estes, age 89, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Union Medical Center.
Miss Estes was born March 12, 1933 in Union, a daughter of the late Clarence Poole Estes and Minnie Lou Ivey Estes. She was at 1951 graduate of Union High School and retired from Union Dry Cleaners. Miss Estes was a member of Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church where she had previously served on the WMU and as a VBS Worker. She loved working puzzles, Church work, and was well known for her fried apple pies and cornbread
Surviving are two sisters, Ruby Estes Whitmire of Union and Mary Estes Pridemore of Buffalo; two brothers, Joe Wylie Estes and wife Rosa of Simpsonville and Donald Eugene Estes of Union; a number of nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She was predeceased by one sister, Martha Mae Estes Williams and five brothers, David Jonathan Estes, Clarence William Estes, George Monroe Estes, Charles Leroy Estes, and Jerry Bruce Estes.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Carrol Caldwell. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Bud Whitmire, Jimmy Estes, Robert Williams, AJ Pridemore, George Allan Pridemore, Rocky Green, Blain Estes, and Evan Ledford.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the Church.

The family will be at the respective homes of her sisters.
