Louise Murphy Morris

            Mrs. Louise Murphy Morris, age 93, formerly of Whitmire Hwy., widow of Robert B. Morris, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Cross Roads Residential Center in Asheboro, North Carolina.

            Mrs. Morris was born in Union, September 1, 1928, a daughter of the late Earl B. Murphy and Lillian Ashford Murphy. She was a graduate of Union High School and Lander College. Mrs. Morris retired from Ace Sweater and later worked in bookkeeping with the Union Times and the Union Co. News. She was member of Crestview Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, served as church treasurer and Training Union director. She was also a former member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club. Mrs. Morris remained active in the community until she moved to North Carolina.

            Surviving are a son, Randall Morris and wife Rebecca of Asheboro, NC; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Suttles Morris of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Tara M. Schubach and husband Chris and Robert Earl Morris, Jr. and wife Ashley; and five great-grandchildren: Kendyll Morris, Austin, Stetson, and Carter Schubach and Maleaha Morris. Mrs. Morris was predeceased by a son, Robert Earl Morris, Sr. and a sister, Earline Sharpe.

            Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Josh Freeman.

            The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.
