Margie Boulware Goins

            Mrs. Margie Estelle Boulware Goins, age 72, of 2190 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Buffalo, widow of Howard “Cooter” Goins, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at her home.

            Mrs. Goins was born in Union, November 18, 1949, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Virginia O’Shields Boulware. She was a graduate of Union High School and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

            Surviving are a daughter, Amy Griffith and husband Wayne of Buffalo; two sisters, Susan Turner and husband Roy of Union and Janice Ashmore and husband Stan of Buffalo; a brother-in-law, James Sinclair; and two grandchildren, Jacob Griffith and Katelin Griffith. She was also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Goins was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Sinclair.

            The family wishes to say a special Thank You to ProMedica/Heartland Hospice and caregivers, Dee Lindsey and Candice Litwin for their care of Mrs. Goins during her illness.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 15, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Johnny Burgess and Rev. Larry Goins. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens.

            Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Friday at the church prior to the service.

            Active pallbearers will be Roy Turner, Stan Ashmore, Matthew Turner, Eddie Goins, Jackie Phipps, and Arley Eller.

            The family will be at the home, 2190 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Buffalo.
