Martha Willard

Mrs. Martha Gregory Willard, age 86, of Union, widow of Barth Scott Willard,Sr., passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023 at ProMedica in Union.

​Mrs. Willard was born in Union on April 25, 1937, a daughter of the late Wallace and Annie Mae Crowe Gregory. She attended Union County schools and worked in textiles with Union Mill and Conso. She later worked with Harry From Department Store where she retired. Mrs. Willard was of the Baptist faith having been a member of West Side Baptist Church. 

​Surviving are two sons, B. Scott Willard Jr. and wife Teresa of Chester and Steve Willard and wife Laura of Union. Surviving grandchildren are Melia Hammond (Khoury), Meghan Weibley (Billy), and Annie Allison (Hunter). Great-grandchildren are Aspyn Allison, Scottie Belle Hammond, Gracie Lynn Hammond and Heidi Allison. Mrs. Willard was predeceased by brothers Leland Gregory and Robert Dale Gregory.

​Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Ralph Brown. Interment will be at Union Memorial Gardens.

​Pallbearers will be Scott Willard, Steve Willard, Khoury Hammond, Billy Weibley, Hunter Allison, Tim Mitchell and Tony Horne.

​Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. prior to the services.

​Memorials may be made to Union Meals on Wheels, P.o.Box 951, Union, SC 29379; Union County Senior Citizens, 237 North Gadberry Street, Union, SC 29379; or the charity of your choice.
