Mr. Marvin Eugene McCullough of 1011 Mudbridge Rd., Buffalo, SC widower of Juanita Wages McCullough, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, September 30, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Mr. McCullough was born in Picher, OK, September 24, 1943, a son of the late Marvin Herbert McCullough and Doris L. McCullough Smith. He was retired from Duke Energy and was a former employee for Union County Schools. He also served in the US Army and was stationed at Dahlonega, GA where he met his late wife. He was a former Boy Scoutmaster for Troop 332 and later continued scouting with Trail of Life at Buffalo Baptist Church. He was a 50 year member of the Duncan Masonic Lodge in Buffalo. Mr. McCullough was a carrier for the Union County News with his late wife Juanita, since 2010 and assisted with deliveries for Meals on Wheels in the Buffalo community and surrounding area. Mr. McCullough was a former member of the Buffalo Fire Dept. and was actively involved with the community. He was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.
Mr. McCullough is survived by his son, Jim Wages McCullough of the home; two sisters, Gail Goralczyk and Ruth Renfro; six brothers, Dana Smith, Cleo Smith, Tom Smith, Larry Smith, Wayne Smith, and Jerry Smith. He was predeceased by a son Marvin E. McCullough, Jr.; a sister, Martha A. Smith; and three brothers, James Jr. Smith, John L. Smith, and David A. Smith.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Doug Estes. Interment will follow the service at Union Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service.
