Mary Helen Howell, age 88, formerly of 755 Howell Rd., Jonesville, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021.
Mary was born September 2, 1932 in Union, a daughter of the late Browning Howell and Marie Gault Howell. She was a 1950 graduate of Kelly-Pinckney High School. Mary was a faithful and lifelong member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church. She loved her church and church family. Mary was always faithful in attendance for all church services until her health declined. She loved helping with the children in Sunday School, Training Union, and VBS. She also loved her WMU meetings and friends. Her family and extended family were so important to her. She was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed.
Surviving are her sister, Sandra Mason and husband Charles (Sonny) of Jonesville; two nieces, Donna Manus and husband Mike of Jonesville, Pam Brady and husband Lynn of Martin, GA; a nephew, Jon B. Mason and wife Nicole of Pauline; five great-nephews, Randy Manus and wife Amber, Wesley Manus and wife Amber, Taylor Brady and wife Jordan, Spencer Brady and wife Amanda, and Wells Mason; a great-niece, Avery Mason; four great-great nieces and five great-great nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Ann Howell and Betty Howell Morris and husband Boone Morris and one nephew, Jeffrey L. Mason.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Foster’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale, Rev. Glenn Riblein, and Rev. Dustin Madala.
Active pallbearers will be Jon Mason, Randy Manus, Wesley Manus, Spencer Brady, Taylor Brady, and Toney Farr.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 3:00 PM Tuesday prior to the services at Foster’s Chapel United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
The family would like to thank her special home caretakers, Jane Inman, Nancy Culberson, Marion Belue, along with her hospice nurses, Kandice McSwain and Amanda Banks for their love and care of Mary during her illness.

The family is at the home of her sister, Sandra Mason and husband Charles.
