Norma W. Glymph

           Mrs. Norma Wessinger Glymph, age 84, of 221 Westmead Rd, Union, widow of Robert “Mack” Glymph, passed away on December 28, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center. 

            Mrs. Glymph was born in Newberry, March 29, 1936, a daughter of the late Miller and Pearl Burns Wessinger.  She was a graduate of Newberry High School where she was a Majorette in the band.  She was a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. 

            Surviving are a daughter, Lesa G. Hayes and a son Alan Glymph both of Union; three grandchildren, Staci Glymph Vaughan and husband Nick, Brittany Hayes Taylor and husband Chase, and Dereck Greene; and four great-grandchildren, Jasper and Augie Mack Taylor and Matti and Marli Vaughan.  Mrs. Glymph was predeceased by a brother Robert Wessinger. 

            A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 9, 2021 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor Maria Miller. 

            Visitation will be held after the services at the chapel.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Augsburg Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 295, Union, SC 29379.
