Mrs. Phyllis Crocker Stines, age 82, of 214 Old Shetley Place, Union, widow of Beverly Stines, Jr., passed away, Monday, January 10, 2022 at Union Medical Center.
Mrs. Stines was born November 6, 1939 in Spartanburg, a daughter of the late John Louie Crocker and Ruby Burgess Crocker. She retired after 17 ½ years from Wallace Thomson Hospital as a Monitor Tech and Unit Secretary. Mrs. Stines enjoyed the outdoors, camping, trips to the mountains and beach. She loved windchimes on her porch and collecting rocks from around the world.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph “Jody” Stines and wife Tamria of Easley and Jimmy Stines and fiancée Jennifer Hicks of Union; eight grandchildren, Stacy McAbee and husband Thom, Michael Garner and wife Suzy, Jana Manasco and husband Cody, Tayler Stines, Nolan Stines, Matthew Stines and fiancée Samantha, Jonathan Stines, and Kristyn Stines; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly Darlene Garner; a sister, Shelvia Willard; two brothers, Robert Crocker and Jackie Crocker.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, January 14, 2022 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Pastor Jessie Pendergrass.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be D.J. Willard, Dennis Willard, Anthony Willard, Cody Monasco, Matthew Stines and Timmy Crocker.
