Mr. Randolph Smith Lancaster, age 89, of 1157 Mudbridge Rd., Buffalo, widower of Mary Jo Parks Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at his home.
Mr. Lancaster was born in Union, November 6, 1932, a son of the late Freddie Moore Lancaster and Addie Eloise Gist Lancaster. He was a graduate of West Springs High School and was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. Mr. Lancaster was retired from Draper Corporation in Spartanburg and Plastics Oddities in Roebuck. He was a member of Bogansville United Methodist Church. He loved spending time at Big Oak Barbeque and fishing.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosemary L. Gregory and husband Jim of Jonesville, and Susan L. Gregory and husband Smitty of Santuc; a niece Betty L. Roark and husband Steve of Buffalo; two nephews, Tommy Lancaster and wife Audrey of Buffalo, and Michael Lancaster and wife Cathy of Boiling Springs; and a special family friends, Neil Gregory and wife Karen and their daughter, Kaley of Buffalo. He was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas Bruce Lancaster and Billy Dean Lancaster.
The family wishes to say a special Thank You to the staff and nurses of Crescent Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Mr. Lancaster and his family during his illness.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Bogansville United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Scott Cannon.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 until 12:00 noon in the church prior to the service.
Active pallbearers will be Smitty Gregory, Jim Gregory, Steve Roark, Tommy Lancaster, Michael Lancaster and Neil Gregory.
