Mrs. Ruth Ham Dabbs, age 90, formerly of Foster Dr., Sharon, widow of James “Buster” Dabbs, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Heartland of Union.
Mrs. Dabbs was born in Chester, April 30, 1931, a daughter of the late William Lawrence Ham and Jessie Love Ham. She was retired from Milliken and Co., Lockhart Mill after 46 years and was a member of Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Dabbs was a devoted Christian woman who believed in helping others. She loved her Lord, her church, and her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Thomas and husband Ron of Gaffney; a son, Dennis Dabbs and wife Cheryl of Boiling Springs; a sister, Brenda Tiller of Chester; a brother, Lewis Ham of Lowry; six grandchildren, Jodi Stepp, Matthew Arrowood, Justin Dabbs, Lindsey Zager, Heather Luther, and Clay Morris. She is also survived by eleven great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dabbs was predeceased by a daughter, Lori Ann Dabbs Briggs and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, January 24, 2022, at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Chester, conducted by Rev. Dr. Brian Stepp.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
The family will be at their respective homes.
