Obituary
Mrs. Shelia Marie Carter Walters, age 62, of 296 Meansville Rd., Union, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 23, 2023.
Mrs. Walters was born in Union, September 13, 1960, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Barbara Queen Carter. She was a graduate of Easley High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Rutledge College. She worked mostly in accounting and clerical positions for various companies and for Converse College during her career. Mrs. Walters was a member of the former Truth Baptist Church in Jonesville.
Surviving are three daughters, Christy Gosnell and husband Michael of Moore, Dawn Garrett and Megan Walters both of Union; two sisters, Penny C. Knight of Greenville and Donna C. Simmons of Jonesville; a brother, Kelly Carter and wife Carole of Jonesville and seven grandchildren, Victoria and Seth Burgess, Gage Brewington, Joseph Bobo, and Jayden, Alayna and Isabelle Walters.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Holcombe’s Jonesville Chapel, 145 Hames Ave., Jonesville, SC 29353.
