Stanley C. Pollander

            Mr. Stanley Chester Pollander, age 75, husband of June Wilson Pollander of 810 Flat Dr., Buffalo, passed away, Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

            Mr. Pollander was born in Richford, Vermont, January 27, 1947, a son of the late Alfred and Vivian Lamonde Pollander. He was employed as a truck driver with Benore. Mr. Pollander attended Buffalo Baptist Church and had served as a volunteer fireman with the Buffalo Fire Dept. He was first married to the late Pauline Pollander.

            Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Ruth “Sissy” Darling and husband Jacob Critchlaw of Florida, and Marie Moore and husband Joe Dean of Buffalo; a son, Bobby Pollander and wife Gail of Buffalo; a sister, Rosella Gureton; a step-daughter, Ann Harrison of Union; a step-son, Jimmy Fowler of Union; and other special children in his life: Tiffany Kirby, Heather Kirby, Keith Kirby, Ashley Kimble and Jessica Kimble. Mr. Pollander is also survived by fifteen grandchildren who were very dear to him: Kenneth Roberts, Melissa Cannon, Samantha Phillips, Joe Moore, Jr., Christina Moore, Sheena Moore, John Walden, Jessica Moore, Joshua Moore, Timothy Calicutt, Crystal Calicutt, Stevie Darling, Brittany Darling, Dillon Fowler and Brook Duncan; twenty-eight great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two daughters, Pauline Levesque and Ann Moore, a granddaughter, Jennifer Roberts; a sister, Shirley Dow and a brother, Steven Pollander.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2022 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Doug Estes. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

            The family will be at the home, 810 Flat Dr., Buffalo.
