Steven E. Coker

            Mr. Steven Eugene Coker, age 56, husband of Karen Thompson Coker of 500 Sims Ave., Union, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at his home.

            Mr. Coker was born in Union, December 14, 1963, a son of the late Larry Coker and Brenda Burgess Coker. He was a 1983 graduate of Union High School and retired from Cone Mills, Carlisle Finishing. Mr. Coker was a member of Ottaray Baptist Church and was a Mason.

He enjoyed fishing and was a big Clemson fan.

            Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Zachary Steven Coker and friend Sandy Enniss of Jonesville; three sisters, Crystal Lankford and husband Brandon of Union, Terri Lawson and friend Jonathan of Whitmire and Nancy Coker and friend Shane of Buffalo; one grandson, Cole Coker of Jonesville; his step-mother, Peggy Coker of Pauline and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Coker was predeceased by a sister, Teresa Coker.

            Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, July 20, 2020 at Ottaray Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Walter Holcombe and Rev. Brian Redding. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens.

            Active pallbearers will be Cody Lankford, Jadon Lankford, Chase Sherfield, Joshua Lawson, David Lawson, and Eric Turner.

            Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Monday at the church prior to the services.

            The family will be at the home, 500 Sims Ave., Union.
