Taffie Stephens Hamby

            Mrs. Taffie Stephens Hamby, age 60, wife of Major Hamby of 310 W. Main St., Union, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

            Mrs. Hamby was born in Cambridge Co., Maryland, December 17, 1962, a daughter of the late Sam and Mary Ellen Fairbanks Cannon. She was a graduate of Cambridge South Dorchester High School and was formerly employed with Arby’s in Union. Mrs. Hamby had a love and compassion for animals.

            Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Brittany Lipsey and wife Dakota of Union and Bibi Cannon of Maryland; a sister, Ellen Borga of Buffalo, and three grandchildren, Andrea Hawkins, Christian Hawkins and Samantha Hawkins.

            A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.

            The family will be at their respective homes.
