Thelma Bledsoe Obituary

           Mrs. Thelma Davis Bledsoe, age 77, wife of Davie G. Bledsoe, Jr., of 3231 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Buffalo, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at her home.

            Mrs. Bledsoe was born in Union, November 18, 1944, a daughter of the late Fred J. Davis and Darnell Deputy Davis. She was a graduate of Union High School and a member of Putman Baptist Church. Mrs. Bledsoe was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook and sew. She also loved flowers and hummingbirds and was all about her family and helping others.

            Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Linda Brown and husband David of Pacolet, Debra Robinson of Buffalo and Lisa Adams and husband John of Union; a son, David W. Bledsoe of Buffalo; two brothers, Roy Davis and wife Alice and Fred Davis and wife Sherry; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Shane Bledsoe, a son-in-law, Charles Robinson; three sisters, Shirley Turner, Flora Jean Haney, and Wanda Brock and three brothers, Kenneth Davis, Robert Davis and Jerry Davis.

            The family wishes to say a special Thank You to Compassus Hospice for their care of Mrs. Bledsoe during her illness.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 23, 2022 at Putman Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Mann, Rev. Johnny Burgess and Rev. Larry Goins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

            Active pallbearers will be Rick White, Jesse Robinson, Nick Bledsoe, Tyler Adams, Joey Stamey and James Franks.

            Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Monday at the church prior to the services.

            Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

            The family will be at the home, 3231 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Buffalo.
