William Kirby Obituary

William Timothy "Tim" Kirby, 52, of 840 Tinker Creek Road, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Kirby was born in Union on May 15, 1968, a son of the late William Harold and Betty Lawson Kirby. He was a graduate of Union High School and was an avid North Carolina Tarheels fan. He was a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church where he was employed as groundskeeper.

Survivors include two daughters, Ashlyn Durant of Spartanburg and Brittany Whitmire of Union; his sister, Belinda Jenkins and husband, Joe of Union; his brother, Johnny Gregory and wife, Kim of Union and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Gail Gregory and Donna Kicidis.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Buffalo United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Miriam Mick. The family will receive friends after the service.
