William "Bill" West Obituary
Mr. William “Bill” West, age 103, of 701 Forest St., Jonesville, widower of Macie Dorman West passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021, at his home.
Mr. West was born August 26, 1918, in Jonesville, a son of the late Mitchell West and Sally Fowler West Barnett. He retired after 52 years from J.P. Stevens and was a former City Councilman for the City of Jonesville. Mr. West was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are a daughter in law, Sandra B. West; five grandchildren, Cindy May and husband Daniel of Lugoff, Elizabeth West and husband Jim Wolf of Charleston, Amy Garrett and husband Mark of Union, Mitchell West and wife Andrea of Travelers Rest, and Michael West and wife Maggie of Spartanburg; six great-grandchildren, Matthew May and wife Amanda of Elgin, Kelly Everhart of Lugoff, Taylor Garrett Davis and husband Jeffrey of Union; Madison West of Travelers Rest, Hannah West of Travelers Rest, and Piper West of Spartanburg; four great-great-grandchildren, Jenna Dinkins of Elgin, Brynlee Everhart of Lugoff, Gracie Everhart of Elgin, and Emily May of Elgin. He was predeceased by a son, Billy Wayne West; a great-grandson, Tyler Sullivan; a sister, Dessie Belle Horne; and a brother, Durvin West.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Jonesville Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Scott Cannon. Burial will follow at Gilead Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 2:30 until 3:30 PM prior to the services at the church.
