Yvonne Farmer Smith

            Mrs. Yvonne Farmer Smith, age 80, formerly of Pauline, widow of Bobby Joe Smith, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at White Oak Manor in York after an extended illness.

            Mrs. Smith was born in Spartanburg County on April 6, 1943, a daughter of the late Leon and Laila Scott Farmer. She was a graduate of Woodruff High School and a retired supervisor with Her Majesty and Conso. Mrs. Smith was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church where she taught Youth Sunday School and was active with the Senior Citizens.  She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed every moment spent with her grandchildren.

            Surviving are two daughters, Donna Smith Langford (John) of York and Angelia Smith Owens (David) of Columbia; a grandson, Robert Langford (Bridgett); two granddaughters, Erin Langford and Alex Owens; a great granddaughter, Hadley Langford; a sister, Elizabeth Gregory; a brother, Billy Farmer (Sandy); and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Smith was predeceased by a brother, Harold Farmer.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Clint Smith. A private burial will follow in the church cemetery.

            Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the church sanctuary prior to the services.
