Mrs. Myrtle Bogan Fleming, age 88, widow of Oliver Benson "Bennie" Fleming, formerly of 155 Fleming Hill Rd. Jonesville, SC died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Ellen Sager Nursing Home.

Mrs. Fleming was born in the West Springs community of Union County, a daughter of the late Fred Bogan and Pearl Lawson Bogan. She was a graduate of West Springs High School and retired from United Merchants and Manufacturing - Buffalo Plant. She was a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church and was a former member of Bogansville United Methodist Church.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Gregory and husband, B. F. of Jonesville; 2 sons; Bobby Fleming and wife Shirley and Buddy Fleming and wife Mary, both of Jonesville; 9 grandchildren;13 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren; also special nieces; Olivia Harvey and Margaret Scarborough.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Buffalo United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Kevin Dalton and Rev. Herbert Stevens. Burial will follow in Bogansville United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Tim Scarborough, Todd Scarborough, Tommy Scarborough, Ronald Fleming, Dylan Fleming, Rodney Fleming Bobby Fleming, Jr., and Mike Gregory

The following are asked assemble at the church at 1:45 to form the honorary escort: Ed Harvey, Tina Rash, Dee Dee Foster, Michelle Cooper, and other staff members of Ellen Sagar are asked to sit in a group.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 3, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the S. R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Hattie "Sissy" McGowan
Union, SC

Ms. Hattie Sinclair "Sissy" McGowan, age 52 of 130 Poinsette Street, Union, SC died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at her home after a long illness.

Ms. McGowan was born in Union, SC September 18, 1955, a daughter of Harold Sinclair, Sr and Lucille Deaton Sinclair of Union. She was a graduate of Union High School and was formerly employed with Milliken & Co-Monarch Plant and was self-employed as a housekeeper and book keeper for a local business. Ms. McGowan attended Christian Fellowship Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters: Sandy Gilkison and husband William of the home and Kim McGowan of Union; a son, Todd McGowan of the home and his financee, Samantha McCutcheon; two sisters: Vicky Boulware and Mary Morris both of Union; five brothers; Chris Sinclair, Stevie Sinclair, David Sinclair, Freddie Sinclair and Harold Sinclair, Jr. all of Union; five grandchildren: Chasity Gilkison, Brandi Gilkison, Kandi Gilkison, Matthew Gilkison and Lacey Millwood all of the home and also Andrew Horne; a great-grandson, Tyre Tucker and special friends Linda Craig and Faye Fowler. Ms. McGowan was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Sinclair and Donnie Sinclair.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Randy Smith. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be David Sinclair, David Jones, Mark Mitchell, Chris Mangun, Chris Fowler and Bradley Hawkins.

Mr. William Bradley Palmer, age 32 of 103 Malone Avenue, Union, SC died Friday, February 29, 2008 in Jacksonville, NC.

Mr. Palmer was born in Lexington, SC March 5, 1975, a son of Michael Palmer and Anne Marie Falls Palmer both of Union. He was employed as an electrician with TBA Associates and was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a maternal grandmother, Bernice Justice Falls of the home; an aunt, Mary Ashe and husband T.O. of Loganville, Ga; an uncle, William R. Falls, Jr and wife Pamela of Lexington, SC; a special friend, Jennifer Campbell of Union and a host of friends and relatives. Mr. Palmer was predeceased by maternal grandfather, William R. Falls.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, March 7, 2008 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Falls, Kevin Falls, Mick Cathcart, Tim Justice, Dorsey McClure and Will Cobb.

Visitation was held 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday night at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Opal P. Neeley

Ms. Opal Palmer Neeley, age 89, formerly of 629 Rice Ave., Ext., Union, died, Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the home of her son in Reidville.

Ms. Neeley was born in Union, May 13, 1918, a daughter of Joe and Sally Blakely Palmer. She was retired from United Merchants, Union Plant and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Ms. Neeley was a beloved mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and especially enjoyed cooking and rocking in her rocking chair. She will be missed.

Surviving are two daughters: Glenda (Eddie) Robertson and Suzanne (Ray Gregory) Brown all of Union; one son: Don (Karen) Palmer of Reidville; one sister: Lula Mae Briggs of Columbia; a sister-in-law: Tootsie Palmer of Woodruff; 11 grandchildren: Reggie Robertson, Cotton Robertson, Rhonda (Jimmy) Blair, Lisa Poole, Gretchen B. Moon, Richie (Carolyn) Brown, Ray Brown, Kelly (Neil) Kuamoo, Sally (Michael) Gozdieski, Randall O’Shields and Russell (Amy) O’Shields; 11 great-grandchildren: Libby Robertson, Jake Robertson, Adaire Robertson, Brooke Poole, Lindsay Bailey, Hunter Blair, Sean Brown, Dannielle Moon, Kaila Gozdieski, Tristen Wheeler, and Preston Barrett; a special friend: Ruth Foster of Union and other special nieces, nephews and cousins. Ms. Neeley was predeceased by three brothers: J.P. Palmer, James Earl Palmer, Harold Palmer and two sisters: Frances Morris and Mozelle Morris.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Bethel United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Terry Mitchell and Rev. Benny Green. Burial will be in Haney Cemetery.

Ms. Neeley grandsons will serve as active pallbearers and her great-grandsons at honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends 7:00 until 9:00 PM Wednesday night at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Mrs. Elsie (Jeannine) Montgomery, age 71, of Marysville, CA, died February 16, 2008 at the Woodland Care Center in Woodland, CA.

Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Robert Fred Montgomery. Born in Gore, OH, she had lived in Michigan, South Carolina, Georgia, California and England. She was a foreman for 15 years with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.

Survivors include three sons: Robert C. Montgomery of Marysville, CA, Scott G. Montgomery of Griffin, GA, and Mark E. Montgomery of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Evelyn Starland of Charleston, SC; and eight grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will follow at Philippi Baptist Church cemetery.

Joseph Harry Jenkins
Saluda, NC

Mr. Joseph Harry Jenkins, age 88, formerly of Spartanburg, died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Autumn Care of Saluda, N.C.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Union, July 12, 1919, a son of the late Robert Lee Jenkins and Nellie Fowler Jenkins. He a graduate of Union High School and attended Wofford College. Mr. Jenkins was a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was very active in the VFW where he was a member of the Cootie Branch. Mr. Jenkins was also active at umpiring baseball at many levels of the game.

Surviving are a sister, Judith Rebecca Durham and husbnad Jim of Radford, VA; three brothers: Donald M. Jenkins and wife Becky and Richard F. Jenkins and wife Sallie all of Charlotte and Michael E. Jenkins and wife Tricia of Boone, NC; a sister-in-law, Jerry Jenkins of Clemson and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Jenkins was predeceased by three brothers: William C. Jenkins, Robert Lee Jenkins, Jr and Tommy Fowler Jenkins.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Gary Byrd.

Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the graveside

Mrs. Betty Jean Roberts Boulware, age 74, wife of Lewis E. Boulware of 342 Haney Rd. Buffalo,

SC. went home to be with the lord, March 8, 2008 at her home.

Mrs. Boulware was born in Union, June 7, 1933 a daughter of the late James "Pop" Roberts and Ida Maude Sanders Roberts. She attended Jonesville High School and was a retired textile employee and also delivered newspapers for the Spartanburg Herald Journal. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Buffalo.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 1 daughter;, Connie Burgess and husband Johnny; 2 sons, Stanley Boulware and wife Cheryl and Donnie Boulware and wife Patsy; and a sister Polly Alexander and husband Johnny all of Buffalo; 2 brothers Julian "Doodle Bug" Roberts and wife Peggy and James Henry "Wall Socket" Roberts both of Jonesville and a half-sister Maude Gault of Roebuck; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Boulware was pre-deceased by 3 half-sisters: Mary Pearl Lipsey, Margaret McCoy, and Juanita Wilkins; and 3 half-brothers; David Baldwin, Willie Baldwin and Roy Baldwin.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM, Monday, March 10, 2008 at New Hope Baptist Church in Buffalo, conducted by Pastor Johnny Burgess. Burial will follow in Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Deacons of the Church: Larry Burgess, Arley Eller, Jackie Phipps, James Sinclair, Bob Smith and Roy Turner. Nephews will serve as honorary pallearers. The Adult Sunday School Class , the New Hope Choir and the Ladies Auxiliary are asked to sit in a group.

Mrs. Angelina Katherine Wilczynski, age 75 of 212 Brittany Rd., Gaffney, SC died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Wilczynski was born in Middlesex County, New Jersey February 11, 1933, a daughter of the late Santo Christian and Katherine Catrona Christian.

Surviving are three sons: Anthony Rizzo, Robert Rizzo both of North Ft. Myers, Fl and Frank Rizzo of Cape Coral, Fl.; a brother, John Christian of New Jersey; four grandchildren: Johathan Rizzo, Jason Rizzo, Nicole Rizzo and Breyanne Rizzo and two great- grandchildren: Dylan Snyder and Ethan Epps.

Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 Wednesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in New Jersey.

Mr. Lewis Eugene Boulware, age 77, of 342 Haney Rd., Buffalo, widower of Betty Jean Roberts Boulware, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 12, 2008.

Mr. Boulware was born in Union, Sept. 3, 1930 a son of the late Eugene and Bessie M. Lawson Boulware. He was a retired textile worker and also ran a delivery route for the Union Times and the Spartanburg Herald. Mr. Boulware was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter: Connie Burgess and husband Johnny; two sons: Stanley Boulware and wife Cheryl and Donnie Boulware and wife Patsy all of Buffalo; one sister: Evelyn Tucker; one brother: Fletcher Boulware and wife Betty all of Union; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Mr. Boulware was predeceased by a brother, Luther M. Boulware.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2008 at New Hope Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Johnny Burgess. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Larry Burgess, Arley Eller, Jackie Phipps, James Sinclair, Bob Smith and Roy Turner.

Mr. Tommy E. Howell, age 71, of 200 Springs St., Union, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at his home.

Mr. Howell was born in Union, May 21, 1936, a son of the late Samuel and Marie Shipman Howell. He was a retired construction worker and a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Howell was of the Baptist faith and attended the Church of God.

Surviving are two daughters: Trina Dawn Vinson of Union and Billie Jo Taylor of Laurens; three grandchildren: Tousha Smith, Amber Taylor and Shane Howell; three great-grandchildren: Dillon Smith, Michael Howell, Jr. and Jonathan Howell; two nephews: Lamar Ivey and Boyd Ivey. Mr. Howell was predeceased by two sisters: Gail H. Ivey and Peggy H. Davis.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2008 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Ricky Cook.

Mr. Arthur Clinton "A.C." McAbee, age 74, husband of Becky Vinson McAbee of 408 C St. Jonesville, died Friday, March 14, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. McAbee was born in Spartanburg, October 18, 1933, a son of the late Ben Tillman McAbee and Della Mae King McAbee. He was a retired truck driver with Bendix Transportation and was a veteran of the US Army having served with the Military Police. Mr. McAbee was a member of the Jonesville Church of God.

Surviving in addition to his wife are five daughters: Glenda Cottrell of West VA, Tammy Cannon of Joanna, Holly Kingdom of Gaffney, Jennifer McAbee of Jonesville and Heaven Gault of Cross Keys; five sons: Steve McAbee of Greenville, Keith McAbee of Williamston, Tony McAbee of of West VA, Eddie McAbee of Clinton and Scotty McAbee of Union; a sister: Alma Whitmore of Union; a brother: Darvie McAbee of Idaho; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. McAbee was predeceased by two brothers, A.J. McAbee and James McAbee.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 17, 2008 at the Jonesville Church of God conducted by Rev. Roger Byrd. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery with Military Honors.

Helen Ruth Sanders Ivey, 77, of 10 Churchfield Court, Greer, South Carolina, passed away on March 16, 2008. As a native of Union County, Helen was the daughter of the late William Simpson and Ellen Palmer Sanders. She was the wife of the late Charles William Ivey, Jr., and the loving mother of two daughters and two sons.

Surviving are daughters Beverly Blair and husband Wayne Blair of Greer, SC, Kathy Wilz and Randy Emery, of Greer, SC, and son Charles William III and wife Linda Ivey of Taylors, SC. Helen was preceded in death by her infant son, Perry Sanders Ivey. She also had 6 grandchildren: Scotty Moore, Christy Hedstrom, Summer Edgens, Joshua Wayne Blair, Ivey Nicole Blair, Philip Addison Blair, and 8 great grandchildren: Brandon Moore, A. J. Smith, Austin Smith, Tori Helton, Presley Amos, Charles Holman Edgens, Christian Hedstrom, Carter Hedstrom.

Services will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. with burial services at Rosemont Cemetery in Union, SC.

Mr. J.C. "Jake" Matthews, Sr., age 79, husband of Betty McAbee Matthews of 225 Eaves Rd., Whitmire, died Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Wallace Thomson Hospital.

Mr. Matthews was born in Pickens Co. May 29, 1928, a son of the late Ernest Elmer Matthews and Mae Fields Matthews. He was a retired from Earnhardt Lumber Co. and was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters: Betty Ruth Thiesen and husband William of Waxsaw, NC, and Deborah Lunnette Funderburk and husband Tommy of Whitmire; three sons: J.C. Matthews, Jr. and wife Lucy of Woodruff, Ernest Franklin Matthews and Michael Clifford Matthews both of the home; two sisters: Ruth Lee and Nancy Wix both of Union; two brothers: Paul Matthews of Union and Richard Matthews of Gilbert; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mr. Matthews was predeceased by two sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 24, 2008 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Ricky Cook. Mr. Matthew’s grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.

Mrs. Elnora McPherson Plexico, age 65, widow of Charles Plexico of 1207 W. Main St., Union, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg.

Mrs. Plexico was born Cherokee Co., March 26, 1942, a daughter of the late Saul and Polly Harvey McPherson. She was a retired textile worker.

Surviving are four daughters: Patricia McAbee-Willis of Gaffney, Brenda Eason of Inman, Rosa Childers of Carlisle and Nancy Satterfield of Pauline; one son: Wayne Plexico of Union; one brother: Robert Mathis of Gaffney; 7 grandchildren: April Crawford, Emily Eason, Erika Eason, Dylan Childers, Regina Plexico, Kim Plexico, Haylen Satterfield; and 4 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Plexico was predeceased by a sister: Virginia Philbeck.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM, Monday, March 24, 2008 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Gonzalee Childers. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Kathy Rene Harkins, age 50 of 203 Catherine St., Union, SC, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Wallace Thomson Hospital after a sudden illness.

Ms. Harkins was born in Union, November 12, 1957, a daughter of the late Harold F. and Kathryn Harkins. She was a graduate of Union High School and formerly employed with Wal-Mart. Ms. Harkins attended Four Square Ministries Church in Union.

Surviving are a daughter: Katie Belue of Union; a son: Daniel Belue of Gaffney; a sister: Lynn Edwards of Union and companion: Kay Miller of Union; six grandchildren: Rachel Belue, Jesse Belue, J.R. Belue, Alex Belue, Dakota Prince and Willow Prince.

Mrs. Bessie Leona Sutton Canupp, age 92 widow of J.R. Canupp died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mrs. Canupp was born in Sevierville, TN February 7, 1916, a daughter of the late Allen Sutton and Lakie McMahon Sutton. She reitred from Milliken & Co - Lockhart Plant and was a member of Bullocks Creek Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Canupp was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are a daughter, Edna Porter and husband John Henry of Chester; five step-children; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Canupp was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Cannon; three sons, Jimmy Williams, Eugene Williams and Ronald Williams; five sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Bullocks Creek Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Harold Roth, Rev. Charles Terry and Rev. Mike Goodwin. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Kevin Lanier, Jamie Shrader, Brad Moss, Clint Robinson, Travis Sullivan, Steve Britton, Adam Church and Ian Sidebottom.

Mrs. Ruth Crocker Smith, age 82 of 820 Meansville Rd., Union, SC, widow of Marvin Smith died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Wallace Thomson Hospital.

Mrs. Smith was born in Union, SC December 4, 1925, a daughter of Elzie Crocker and Ila Harrison Crocker. She retired from United Merchants-Buffalo Plant and was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church where she was a member of the Young at Heart Class. Mrs. Smith loved to travel and performed at the Buffalo Opera House. She was a very talented lady.

Surviving are a sister, Thelma Smith and husband Carl; two brothers: John Crocker and wife Joyce and Earl Crocker and wife Lillie Mae all of Union and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, March 24, 2008 at Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Aubrey Calvert and Rev. Joe Stover. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Dennis Crocker, June Crocker, Douglas Crocker, Paul Crocker, Lannis Grubbs, Bobby Joe Grubbs, Preston Thomas and Kenneth Smith. The friends of the Buffalo Opera House are asked to sit in a group.

Mrs. Rita Gallman Greene, age 95, widow of Paul Greene formerly of Union, SC died Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at White Oak Manor in Newberry, SC.

Mrs. Greene was born in Union, SC, March 12, 1913, a daughter of the late Dan Gallman and Mary Cudd Gallman. She was a graduate of Union High School and was formerly the co- owner of Greene Furniture with her husband Paul. Mrs. Greene was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she was a former member of the Johnnie Sanders Circle, the Young at Heart Group and Girl Scout Leader. She was a volunteer with Wallace Thomson Hospital and an active member of the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Greene formerly organized trips for Carolina Travelers. She was the last surviving member of her immediately family.

Surviving are a son, Reuben F. "Pee Wee" Greene and his wife Jeannie of Prosperity, SC; two grandchildren: Happy Laymon and Paul Scott Greene; two great-grandchildren: Kelley Kaymon and Crista Laymon all of Lake Murray.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2008 at Grace United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Gary Byrd. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Ruby Robinson Cudd, age 86, wife of James Cudd, 664 Pelzer Dr., Mt. Pleasant, SC, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Hospice House of Charleston after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Cudd was born in Union, August 5, 1921, a daughter of the late Ester and Cora Boulware Robinson. She had formerly worked with Milliken Co. at both Monarch and Ottaray Plant. Mrs. Cudd was also the owner and operator of the "Budget Fashion" clothing store in Monarch.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter: Donna C. Brown and husband Thomas of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters: Vivian R. Adams and Mattie R. Turner both of Union and Sara R. Rice of Greenville; one brother: Olin D. Robinson of Union; five granddaughters: Tessa Teague Moore of Greenwood, Sharon Teague Ekern of Oviedo, FL, Amy Teague Hayes of Matton IL, Ashley Brown and Kate Brown both of Mt. Pleasant; one grandson: Patrick Brown of James Island; and 8 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cudd was predeceased by two daughter: Ferrol C. Herbert and Tessa Gayle Cudd; one sister: Lucille R. Grant; and six brothers: Heyward, Dennis, Clyde, Raymond, Eddie, and Ester "Jr" Robinson.

A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Garner was born in Union Co., March 29, 1929, a daughter of the late Norman and Estelle Going Faucett. She was a graduate of Kelly Pinckney High School and was retired from Ace Sweater. Mrs. Garner was an active member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church for over 50 years where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Choir.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son; Ronald Garner of Union; one granddaughter: Lamanda Garner of Union; one great-grandson: Kanye Dillard of Union; 2 sisters: Margie Robinson and husband Jimmy and Shirley Sanders and husband Kenneth all of Jonesville; four brothers: William N. Faucett and wife Connie of North Augusta, James S. Faucett and wife Carol of Union; Robert F. Faucett and wife Doris of Jonesville and Aubrey L. Faucett of Union.

Mrs. Cribbe was born in New York, NY January 22, 1933, a daughter of the late Frank Rosenbluth and Anna Franc Rosenbluth Ansel. She was a graduate of City College in New York and retired from Bendix Corporation and was of the Lutheran Faith.

Mrs. Cribbe is survived by her children: Lily Carolyn Wilson and husband Burton, F. Everett Leigh, David Leigh and wife Lisa, Robert E. Leigh all of Union, Walter O. Cribbe and wife Yong of Olympia, WA, Terrell E. Cribbe and wife Beth of Anderson, , Ethel C. Mrs. Carter was born in Jonesville, February 27, 1938, a daughter of the late Albert and Virgie Fowler Burgess. She retired from A and M Import and attended Oakbrook Community Church.

Mrs. Gallman was born in Union County, SC, November 3, 1915, a daughter of Perry and Lucinda Lamb Lee. She was a graduate of West Springs High School and a retired receptionist with Drs. Hope, Hames and Keith. Mrs. Gallman was a member of Bogansville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Gallman was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Vanessa Dale Alexander and husband Lewis of Jonesville; four sons: Herman Blalock and wife Gail and Joe Blalock and wife Nancy all of Union, Preston Blalock of Edgefield and Timothy W. Blalock of Florida; four sisters: Annie Wages, Bessie Duncan, Kathleen Crompton and Betty Jean Hawkins all of Union; a brother, Billy Jennings of Pauline; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Robinson was born in Jonesville, SC September 16, 1917, a daughter of the late Thomas Clyde White and Eva Gregory White. She retired from the Union County Schools and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Robinson is survived by two daughters: Peggy R. Scoggins and husband Carol of Spartanburg and Brenda Dillard of Jonesville; two sons: Dennis Clyde Robinson and wife Martha and Grady Phillip Robinson and wife Cathy all of Jonesville; a daughter-in-law Patricia Robinson of Jonesville; five sisters: Margerite Harvey of Union, Doris White of Jonesville, Lee Ila Pearson of Pacolet, Mildred Barkley of Atlanta and Patty Hoyle of Pacolet; three brothers: Lewis White of Iva, Keith White of Union and Thomas C. White of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren: David Scoggins, Debbie Maness, Harold "Dean" Robinson, Jr, Lynn Gilliland, Hope Davis, Melissa Mitchell and Trad Robinson and ten great-grandchildren. Allen Lewis Plemmons
Union, SC

Mr. Allen Lewis Plemmons, age 85 of 257 Lower Eison Road, Union, SC died Friday, March 28, 2008 at Regional Hospice House in Spartanburg, SC after a brief illness.

Mr. Plemmons was born in Fletcher, NC May 25, 1922, a son of the late Roy Plemmons and Bertha Youngblood Plemmons. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served as Corporal in World War II with the 7th Fighter Squadron and as a mechanic on 747 Jets. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. Plemmons was the last surviving member of his immediate family but is survived by many dear friends. He was predeceased by two sisters Ann P. Moore and Sue P. Ruppe both from N.C.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Aubrey Parks.

Visitation will be held Sunday at the graveside after the service.
